John was raised in the suburbs of Boston and moved to Newport, Rhode Island for college well over twenty years ago.  Although his first legal job was at the young age of 14, he was "put to work" even earlier at the family food factory (John E. Cain Co).  He will, however, certainly tell you that his heart has always been in real estate which is evident seeing that he's been at it since 1999.  In addition to his love of real estate & real estate management, he was extremely fortunate to be exposed to some of the nicer things in life, largely through his grandparents, such as summers on Martha's Vineyard, fine golf courses such as Weston Golf Club, The Kittansett Club, Paradise Valley Country Club, Edgartown Golf Club, and of course Pine Valley Golf Club (although he is still waiting for his tee time ... that's a club where you really earn your tee time), yacht clubs such as VHYC where he learned to sail as well as other respected establishments such as the Harvard Club of Boston or evenings at the Boston Symphony Orchestra.  And when he got home?  He'd tend to the gardens, perhaps get some home repairs done, or take on other hands-on projects.  Why mention this?  It is from these experiences that his appreciation for hard work, service, personal assistance, discretion, and 5-star hospitality has blossomed into what it is today.  Perhaps you remember him from one of these places ... feel free to contact and say hello, in fact, that's part of the reason to mention these places.  Although very laid back and down-to-earth, you can be assured that John always expects and demands the best in order to service your needs and to meet any requests that you may have.  He is extremely hands-on with absolutely no job being above him, is very uniquely skilled in a large variety of areas including small engine maintenance and repair, automobile and boat maintenance, knowledgeable about the care needed for delicate furnishings and fine clothing, is extremely detail oriented in everything he does, very private, and always operates with utmost confidentiality.  Although based in Newport, Rhode Island, travel at a moment's notice, both domestically and internationally, is well within the realm of possibility at any time if requested by the client.

Outside of work, John Cain has no shortage of hobbies.  You may find him tending to his self-built garden & edible landscape, trail walking, out on one of his kayaks,  Limestone powerboat or Dyer Dhow sailing dinghy, updating all of his technological gadgetry, enjoying music as well as informational talks such as TED conference talks or E-books, woodworking, tinkering with his vintage Honda Trail 90's, organizing his extensive tool collection, donating his time for others, reading, traveling, skiing, golfing, and literally so much more.  Overall, John has a love of learning & evolving and enjoys an amazingly vast variety of interests and activities.  In addition, he has a good sense of humor and takes everything in stride.
